About the development of Katyusha


The development of Katyusha started in September 2017. The team consists of six developers. A game designer, a lead developer, two artists, a level editor and a sound engineer. We entered the early alpha stage during easter and we have polished the game so that our demo is ready for a free download on Steam.

The basic gameplay mechanics are done, as well as the biggest part of the first level. Enemy soldiers are not included in the first levels, they are placeholders as they appear later in the game. User interface is almost done in the biggest part of the game. Eagle has the basic mechanics. Katyusha levelling system works but needs a tweak in many sections considering level up. Stealth mechanics are done. If you want to kill an enemy you approach him from behind and press "E" until the bar is loaded by more than 50%. The first puzzle mechanic (mine) is done and can be found after the 2nd house if you walk straight by not jumping. The crafting system needs a lot of work, as well as puzzles. The only crafting available is cotton. Use two pieces of cotton to make one healing pouch.

As an indie development team our resources are limited so if you like Katyusha and you want to purchase the game please donate any amount that you wish. Also spread the word as this is the first Katyusha game.
